NV Champagne Sourdet-Diot 'Tradition' Brut

Sale price$85.00

Sourdet-Diot is a family grower based at La Chapelle-Monthodon, in the Vallée de la Marne.

Raymond Sourdet planted the family’s first vines in 1962, and the estate began producing its own Champagne under Patrick Sourdet and Nadine Diot during the 70s. Today, the domaine works around 8.5 hectares and remains strongly associated with Pinot Meunier, the grape that naturally suits this part of the Marne Valley.

Tradition is the estate’s classic non-vintage cuvée, built around 80% Meunier with 15% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir. The Meunier gives the wine its generous fruit and rounded texture, while Chardonnay and Pinot Noir bring freshness and structure. The Champagne spends extended time on lees before release, adding savoury complexity without losing its direct, fruit-driven style.

Bright golden in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose moves through ripe pear, fresh grape and orchard fruit, followed by acacia flowers, almond and a light pastry note. The palate is rounded and supple, with juicy fruit through the centre, fresh acidity and a clean, gently creamy finish.

Great with oysters, fresh seafood, grilled prawns and soft cheeses.

Serve: 8–10 °C
