Marolo Grappa di Barbera
Grappa di Barbera reflects the direct, lively character of one of Piedmont’s most important native red grapes. Where Moscato is floral and Nebbiolo is austere, Barbera gives a spirit that is dry, frank and energetic.
Marolo distils only fresh pomace, working in small batches through discontinuous bain-marie stills. The slow process is designed to preserve the character of each grape variety rather than standardise it into a single house style.
The grappa rests entirely in stainless steel, with no wood influence. This keeps the colour clear and the profile focused on Barbera’s vinous fruit, freshness and naturally vigorous personality.
In the glass, it is crystal clear. The nose is lively and direct, with red cherry, plum, grape skin, wild berries and light floral notes. On the palate, it is dry, firm and consistent, with clean fruit, warming alcohol and a decisive finish.
It is a traditional, uncompromising clear grappa, built on freshness, dryness and the honest character of Barbera.
