Foradori Six bottle collection: Trentino, Teroldego & Tinajas
This six-pack is a focused introduction to Agricola Foradori, one of the most important estates in northern Italian wine. It is not simply a mixed case, but a study of a producer who helped restore dignity, complexity and international attention to Teroldego, while also redefining the role of amphorae, native varieties and biodynamic farming in Trentino.
At the centre of the case is Teroldego, the red grape most closely associated with Campo Rotaliano. Foradori Teroldego 2024 gives the clearest introduction to the estate style: dark-fruited, fresh, floral and structured without heaviness. It is the foundation wine, the entry point into the grape and the landscape.
Granato 2023 represents the historic and most prestigious expression of Teroldego at the estate. First produced in 1986, Granato was the wine that showed Teroldego could be more than a local variety. From old pergola-trained vines in Campo Rotaliano and matured in tonneaux, it brings depth, structure, dark fruit and cellar-worthy seriousness.
The single-vineyard wines, Morei 2024 and Sgarzon 2024, show how Teroldego changes across site and vessel. Both are fermented and aged on the skins in Spanish tinajas, large clay amphorae that allow slow evolution without the flavour imprint of oak. Morei is the darker, denser and more grounded expression, shaped by pebbly alluvial soils and a deeper mineral core. Sgarzon is cooler, more lifted and more vertical, with freshness, spice and aromatic tension.
The white wines complete the picture. Fontanasanta Nosiola 2024 revives one of Trentino’s most historic white grapes through long skin contact in tinajas. It is not a simple white wine, but a dry, textural and contemplative expression of Nosiola, built around citrus, herbs, fine tannin and mineral persistence. Fuoripista Pinot Grigio 2024 takes Pinot Grigio completely off its familiar path, restoring colour, grip and structure through more than 8 months on the skins in tinajas.
Together, these six wines offer a complete introduction to Foradori: the essential estate Teroldego, the iconic Granato, the two single-vineyard amphora Teroldegos, and two skin-contact whites that show the estate’s broader vision.
This is a case for anyone wanting to understand Foradori beyond the name. It is about Teroldego, but not only Teroldego. It is about old vines, native grapes, biodynamic farming, clay amphorae, mountain freshness and the patient work of one of Italy’s defining wine families.
Perfect for collectors, natural wine drinkers, Alpine wine enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore one of the great reference points of contemporary Italian wine.
