Arianna Occhipinti Six bottle collection: A Journey Through Vittoria

This curated six-pack offers an elevated introduction to the world of Arianna Occhipinti, one of Sicily’s most distinctive and influential producers. Rather than a simple mixed case, this is a guided journey through the landscape of Vittoria, from Nero d’Avola and Cerasuolo di Vittoria to the single Contrada expressions of Frappato and Grillo.

In Sicily, a Contrada is a historically recognised rural district, defined not by an official ranking but by place: soil, exposure, altitude and the agricultural memory of a specific landscape. In Arianna Occhipinti’s work, the Contrade are used to show how Frappato and Grillo can change character from one site to another, moving from floral and delicate to structured, saline, mineral or austere. At the centre of the case is the 2020 'Grotte Alte' Cerasuolo di Vittoria , Occhipinti’s nod to the most revered of Siclia's DOCG wines. Ambitious and regal, a wine of depth, harmony and long ageing. The three 2022 Frappato Contrade wines, 'BB' Bombolieri, 'PT' Pettineo and 'FL' Fossa di Lupo, reveal how the same grape can change dramatically across soil, exposure and place. Bombolieri brings lift, lightness and limestone tension. Pettineo offers silkier texture and old-vine depth. Fossa di Lupo is more vertical, energetic and austere, with a clear line of acidity and structure.

Completing the case is 2023 'SM' Santa Margherita Grillo, a serious single Contrada wine made from 100% Grillo that moves beyond simple freshness into texture, salinity and mineral depth.
