2025 Casale della Ioria 'Campo Novo' Cesanese del Piglio

'Campo Novo' is Casale della Ioria’s vibrant expression of Cesanese del Piglio, from the hills of Ciociaria in southern Lazio. The estate sits between Anagni and Paliano, in one of the historic homes of the Cesanese grape, an area shaped by ancient viticulture, woodland, altitude, and a distinctive local microclimate.

Made from Cesanese d’Affile, Campo Novo is sourced from younger vines and vinified in stainless steel to keep the style direct and energetic, focused on fruit and spice that make the variety easy to love.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour. The nose is expressive and Mediterranean, with black cherry, plum, wild berries, dark earth, dried herbs, and a gentle spicy edge. On the palate, it is ripe, medium-bodied with juicy acidity, chalky soft tannins, and a lightly spiced finish typical of Cesanese. Terrific value for money here.
