2024 Poderi San Lazzaro 'Polesio' Sangiovese

Polesio is a pure expression of Sangiovese from the clay-limestone soils of Offida, where the Adriatic influence contributes to freshness and balance. Harvested in the third week of September, the wine undergoes traditional vinification with frequent pump-overs to enhance structure and aromatic clarity. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, it preserves the varietal purity and vibrancy of Sangiovese.

In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color. The nose is fresh and floral, with delicate smoky hints layered over notes of red fruits. On the palate, it is elegant and well-balanced, with soft, ripe tannins and a refined structure, leading to a persistent finish marked by subtle mineral nuances.

Ideal with pasta dishes, grilled meats, or everyday Italian cuisine, Polesio offers a vibrant and authentic interpretation of Sangiovese from the Marche, combining approachability with character.
