2025 Fontanabianca 'Sommo' Langhe Arneis

'Sommo' is Fontanabianca’s expression of Arneis from Neive, in the heart of the Piemonte's famous Langhe district. Almost extinct 20 years ago, this example shows why the variety is now so highly prized.

Made from 100% Arneis, the wine is vinified in stainless steel to preserve its delicate aromatics and natural brightness. The 2024 vintage shows the variety in a precise and highly drinkable register, with enough structure to work at the table while remaining fresh and immediate.

In the glass, it shows a pale straw-yellow colour with light silver reflections. The nose is  fragrant, with citrus peel, white peach, pear and floral highlights. On the palate, it is bright, fresh and mineral, with a round mid-palate, crisp acidity and a clean mineral finish.

A classic Langhe Arneis: elegant, fresh and versatile, with enough texture to move beyond simple aperitif drinking.

Perfect with seafood, vegetable antipasti, fresh cheeses, white meats and light pasta dishes.
