2024 Elio Altare Dolcetto d'Alba

Elio Altare’s Dolcetto d’Alba is the estate’s most immediate Langhe red: fresh, fragrant, and made for the table. In Piedmont, Dolcetto remains a classic everyday wine, appreciated for its fruit, softness, and easy pairing ability. Altare’s version keeps that spirit intact while bringing clarity, polish, and a clean modern frame.

In the glass, it shows an intense violet-ruby colour. The nose is bright and inviting, with aromas of violet, black cherry, red fruits, and a light spicy edge. On the palate, it is dry but soft, medium-bodied, and easy to enjoy, with delicate tannins, juicy cherry fruit, and a fresh, clean finish.

A classic Dolcetto with charm and precision — not built for long ageing, but for immediate pleasure, casual food, and a slight chill in warmer months.

Perfect with antipasti, salumi, pizza, panini, pasta dishes, white meats, and light cheeses.
