2023 Poderi del Paradiso Chianti Colli Senesi

San Gimignano is better known for its towers and the iconic Vernaccia, but its surrounding hills also give Sangiovese a generous, sunlit Tuscan character. Poderi del Paradiso’s Chianti Colli Senesi 2023 captures that warmth with ripe red fruit, gentle spice and the easy rhythm of a wine made for the table.

Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel for 3–4 days at controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine then matures in 20hl oak barrels and second-use barrels for 8–12 months, adding roundness and soft toasty note.

In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red colour. The nose is open and inviting, with red cherry, raspberry, plum, violet, spice and a pouch tobacco. On the palate, it is rich, round and ripe, harmonious and fruit-driven, with bright acidity, light tannic backbone and a bright juicy finish.

A classic Chianti Colli Senesi that is outright delicious and terrific value for money.
