2023 Foradori 'Morei' Teroldego

From the gravelly plains of Campo Rotaliano, framed by the Dolomites and shaped by river-carried stones, 'Morei' is the darker, deeper expression of Teroldego. The name itself comes from "moro", which means “dark” in the local dialect, reflecting both the character of the vineyard and the depth of the wine it produces. 

Made from 100% Teroldego grown on alluvial soils rich in pebbles and sand, the wine is farmed biodynamically and vinified with minimal intervention. Fermentation and ageing take place in clay amphorae, allowing for extended skin contact and a pure, unmediated expression of grape and site. 

In the glass, it shows a deep, vibrant ruby. The nose is pure and vibrant with aromas of black cherry, damson plum, herbs, wet stone with floral and spicy notes in the background. The palate has a silky smooth texture with seamless flow with the acidity providing energy and a counterpoint to the chalky fine tannins. Compared to its counterpart 'Sgarzon', 'Morei' is more compact, sleek measured expression of Teroldego.
