2024 Cantine di Marzo Fiano di Avellino
Nestled in the hills of Irpinia, in the heart of Campania, about 100 km from Naples, Cantine di Marzo’s Fiano di Avellino is one of the best value for money examples of this now legendary variety.
The wine shows a pale yellow color with subtle green reflections. The nose opens with distinctive pear notes, evolving into exotic fruits, followed by delicate white flowers — jasmine and lily. On the palate, it is round and creamy textured with bright citrusy acidity finishing mineral and long.
Picture this wine like a Chardonnay wearing an Italian suit. Fiano can be extremely versatile at the table: it pairs beautifully with all kind of seafood entrées including sushi, light white meats in sauce, fried vegetables or fish, and is equally delightful as a refined aperitif with a Mediterranean flair.
