2023 Boggero 'Fiore di Bosco' Barbera d'Asti Superiore

Fiore di Bosco is Boggero’s Barbera d’Asti Superiore from Vaglio Serra, in the Monferrato hills. The wine takes its name from the woodland bordering the vineyards, a detail that gives this Barbera a strong sense of place and a slightly wilder, more aromatic character.

Made from 100% Barbera grown on sandy and clay soils, the wine is aged in Slavonian oak, then in French barriques for one year, followed by 3–4 months in bottle. The result is a fuller and more structured expression of Barbera, with depth, polish and the natural freshness that defines the variety.

In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red colour. The nose is deep and persistent, with dark berries, ripe plum, cinnamon, gentle spice and a light toasted note. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with lively acidity, generous fruit, fine tannic grip and a long, savoury finish.

A serious Barbera d’Asti Superiore with richness and structure, suited to those who want Barbera with more depth than an everyday red while keeping freshness and drinkability.

Perfect with rich pasta dishes, roasted meats, game, grilled sausages and aged cheeses.
