Slatnik is one of Radikon’s shorter-maceration skin-contact whites, produced in Oslavia on the Friulian-Slovenian border. Made from Chardonnay and Friulano, it sits in a more approachable register than Radikon’s long-macerated bottlings, while still carrying the estate’s unmistakable signature: texture, depth, savoury grip, and low-intervention clarity.

The wine spends 8–14 days on the skins, followed by 1 year in oak barrels and at least 4 months in bottle before release. Fermentation is spontaneous, with no filtration and minimal sulphur when required, allowing the wine to retain both aromatic complexity and a direct expression of place.

In the glass, it shows a golden-amber hue. The nose is layered and inviting, with notes of ripe yellow apple, apricot, citrus peel, dried flowers, wild herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is dry, textural, and savoury, with fine tannic grip, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral finish.

A more immediate introduction to Radikon’s orange-wine universe — expressive, structured, but less demanding than the estate’s most extreme long-maceration wines.

Perfect with roast poultry, pork, mushrooms, aged cheeses, charcuterie, and richer vegetable dishes.

Serve: 12–14 °C
