2022 Foradori 'Granato' Teroldego
Granato is the deepest and most concentrated expression of Teroldego from Foradori. Its name draws a link between grapes and pomegranate, two fruits with shared Mediterranean origins, and reflects the wine’s natural sense of intensity, beauty, and density. Sourced from old pergola-trained vines across three plots in Campo Rotaliano, it is a wine rooted in alluvial soils rich in gravel, stones, and pebbles.
Made from 100% Teroldego, Granato is fermented in large open vats and aged for 15 months in tonneaux. The vineyard area covers around 4 hectares in Mezzolombardo, with an annual production of approximately 20,000 bottles.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-purple colour. The nose is dark, layered, and precise, with notes of blackberry, black cherry, pomegranate, violet, sweet spice, and crushed stone. On the palate, it is dense and structured, yet never heavy, with firm polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long mineral finish that carries both power and restraint.
This is Foradori’s flagship Teroldego. A wine of concentration, depth, and ageing potential, built from old vines and stony soils rather than extraction alone.
Perfect with game, roasted meats, braised beef, lamb, alpine cheeses, and earthy mushroom dishes.
