2022 Ca' Rugate 'Monte Alto' Soave Classico

Monte Alto comes from a selection of the very best Garganega vineyards across Monteforte d’Alpone, planted on volcanic soils rich in limestone and clay. Hand-harvested late in October to maximize body and extract, this Soave Classico represents the pinnacle of Ca’ Rugate’s dedication to structured, expressive whites.

In the glass, Monte Alto shows a golden-yellow hue with bright reflections. The nose is intense and lingering, with ripe orchard fruits, wildflowers, and almond notes, revealing both elegance and depth.

On the palate, it is full-bodied yet balanced, with a long, harmonious finish. Thanks to its moderate oak ageing and time on lees, Monte Alto will reach its full expression after some years in the bottle, making it a wine to enjoy slowly, appreciating the evolution of both fruit and minerality.

Pairs beautifully with seafood, young cheeses, soufflés, or grilled vegetables, and also works wonderfully as a refined aperitif.
