2022 Hilberg Pasquero 'Vareij'

'Vareij' is a blend of the Piemontese native variety Brachetto along with the richer Barbera, bringing together aromatic lift and red-fruit energy.

In the glass, the 2022 shows a light ruby, almost translucent colour. The nose is delicate and expressive, with rosehip, dried petals, and bright red berry notes, underlined by a subtle floral lift. On the palate it is medium bodied, round texture that is light on its feet with vibrant acidity, and a musky floral finish. A delicious and individual wine that we love.

Ideal with spiced dishes, aromatic cuisine, or soft goat cheese, where its freshness and floral profile can contrast and elevate the flavours.
