2020 Frank Cornelissen 'Munjebel PA'

From the cru of Porcaria within Feudo di Mezzo, Munjebel Rosso PA is crafted from old-vine Nerello Mascalese grown at around 640 meters. This site is known for its demanding conditions, where achieving full ripeness requires precision and balance. Of course, Frank Cornelissen rose to the challenge; and delivers a wine of both power and refinement, offering one of the most complete expressions of Etna’s northern valley.

In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose is expressive and layered, with notes of red berries, wild herbs, and floral hints, gradually opening to reveal deeper nuances of spice and earth.

On the palate, the wine reveals its defining character: a seamless balance between strength and elegance. The structure is firm yet refined, with well-integrated tannins and a core of vibrant freshness.
