NV Costadilà '280' Bianco Frizzante
Costadilà 280 is a vibrant and deeply traditional expression of the Veneto hills, crafted from a field blend of native varieties including Glera, Bianchetta Trevigiana, Verdiso, Perera, and Boschera. Sourced from old vines planted in the 1970s in Campea di Miane, on clay-marl soils, this wine follows a philosophy rooted in the past: extended skin contact, spontaneous fermentation, bottling without filtration, and refermentation in bottle using its own yeasts, with no added sulphur. '280' represents the altitude of the vineyards. The result is a wine that feels both ancient and alive — a true reflection of place and tradition.
In the glass, it shows an intense golden, almost amber hue, hinting at its maceration and texture. The nose is expressive and slightly wild, with aromas of fresh yeast, tropical fruit, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is juicy and lively, with a gentle effervescence, soft textures, and a refreshing mineral edge that carries through a persistent, savory finish.
Perfect alongside Venetian cicchetti — from creamed cod on toast to marinated seafood or sardines in onion — this is a wine of character and authenticity, offering a raw and engaging interpretation of traditional sparkling winemaking.
