2024 Boggero 'Areno' Roero Arneis

From the sandy and clay-rich hills of Vaglio Serra in the Langhe mountains, Boggero crafts a vibrant Arneis that reflects the elegance and aromatic charm of Piedmont’s native white grape. Traditional winemaking without skin contact, followed by brief ageing on lees; preserves freshness, aromatic purity and a delicate texture.

In the glass, the wine is fragrant and floral, with bright notes of pear, apple, and white blossoms that might remind you of a Chenin Blanc on the nose. On the palate, it is dry, harmonious, and lively. It impresses with refreshing acidity and a subtle savory lift that carries through a clean, persistent finish. 

"Arneis” means “naughty boy” in the local Piedmontese dialect, a nod to the grape’s tricky nature in the vineyard and winemaking process in days past. Boggero rediscovers the indigenous grape variety in a versatile and approachable white. It pairs beautifully with fish, white meats, light appetizers, or can be enjoyed as a crisp, refreshing aperitif.
