2022 Radikon 'Sivi'
Sivi is Radikon’s skin-contact expression of Pinot Grigio, produced in Oslavia on the Friulian-Slovenian border. The name refers to the grey-pink colour of the grape’s skins, which here are given enough time to shape the wine into something closer to ramato than conventional white wine: structured, savoury, and unmistakably Radikon.
Made from 100% Pinot Grigio, the wine spends 8–14 days on the skins, followed by 1 year in oak barrels and at least 4 months in bottle before release. As with the rest of Radikon’s work, the approach is low-intervention, with spontaneous fermentation, no filtration, and only minimal sulphur when required.
In the glass, it shows a copper-pink / amber hue. The nose is complex and lifted, with notes of blood orange, red apple skin, wild strawberry, dried flowers, spice, and a subtle herbal edge. On the palate, it is dry, textural, and savoury, with fine tannic grip, bright acidity, and a long, mineral finish.
A serious ramato-style Pinot Grigio — not light or neutral, but layered, tactile, and built around skin contact, texture, and Friulian identity.
Perfect with charcuterie, roasted poultry, pork, mushrooms, aged cheeses, and richer vegetable dishes.
