2020 Radikon Ribolla 500ml
Ribolla Gialla is the backbone of Radikon’s identity: the wine that best captures the estate’s radical idea of white wine as structure, tannin, time, and terroir. Made from 100% Ribolla Gialla, it is sourced from estate vineyards in Oslavia and follows the same long-maceration path of the Blue line: 2–3 months on the skins, 3 years in barrel, and 1–2 years in bottle depending on the vintage.
In the glass, it shows a deep amber colour with copper tones. The nose is intense and savoury, with dried citrus, apricot skin, quince, tea, resin, herbs, almond, and a firm mineral edge. On the palate, it is dry, tannic, and vertical, with powerful phenolic grip, sharp acidity, and a long, salty, almost austere finish.
This is the most structural of the three: less plush than Oslavje, more angular and mineral, built around Ribolla’s natural tannin and ageing capacity.
Perfect with aged cheeses, pork, game birds, mushrooms, anchovy-based dishes, and complex savoury food.
