2019 Ampeleia 'Ampeleia' Toscana IGT

Ampeleia's "Ampeleia" represents the beginning, the pride, and the pinnacle of the estate. Crafted from the oldest vines planted on the most calcareous soils of Roccatederighi, this Cabernet Franc finds the perfect terroir to fully express its potential. The result is a wine where varietal character and site come together in perfect harmony.

In the glass, it shows a deep, intense ruby color, reflecting the union of the estate’s different parcels. The nose opens with small red berries, bell pepper, balsamic hints, aromatic herbs and spices. On the palate it is structured, elegant, and vibrant; with silky tannins, balanced freshness, and a persistent finish: a wine to be savored slowly, revealing its depth and complexity.

Vinified with 10% whole bunch and aged for 18 months in cement tanks followed by 1 year in bottle before release, "Ampeleia" embodies the estate’s decades of experience with Cabernet Franc in Alta Maremma. With only 10,000 bottles produced, each bottle is a testament to the vineyard’s care and the grape’s expressive potential.
