2024 Foradori 'Lezèr' Teroldego
Lezèr began as an accident, then became one of Foradori’s most joyful wines. After the hailstorms of August 2017 damaged a large part of the harvest, the estate used the remaining fruit to experiment with short macerations, creating a lighter, brighter expression of Teroldego. What started as a response to difficulty has since become a wine of freedom, movement, and seasonal pleasure.
Made mainly from Teroldego with a small percentage of other red varieties, Lezèr comes from pergola and Guyot-trained vines in Mezzolombardo, within Campo Rotaliano. The soils are alluvial, with gravel and sand, and the wine is fermented and aged across cement tanks, wooden barrels, and terracotta amphorae. Skin contact is intentionally brief, never exceeding 24 hours, preserving freshness, lightness, and immediate drinkability.
In the glass, it shows a bright, pale ruby color. The nose is fresh and inviting, with notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, violets, and a faint herbal edge. On the palate, it is light, juicy, and energetic, with soft tannins, lively acidity, and a clean, crunchy finish.
A playful, experimental Teroldego built for freshness rather than weight — somewhere between red, rosé, and mountain wine.
Perfect slightly chilled with charcuterie, pizza, grilled vegetables, roast chicken, and casual summer drinking.
